In their own words

Sallai Meridor, Israel's ambassador to the United States, talking to reporters:

In a conference call Tuesday with reporters, Sallai Meridor said criticism of Israel's actions in Gaza as disproportionate is like "telling a lady who had to push a rapist and [is] caught by the camera pushing back the rapist that she was using disproportionate force."

From the JTA article "Meridor: Hamas terrorists are like rapists."

Jesus, is there even one Israeli official who you would sit down to dinner with? Name me one reasonable, halfway attractive person (a winning smile, an impish sense of humour, a thoughtful balance perhaps) representing Israel. Regev anyone? You can't polish turds all your life and not smell like shit.

This disgraceful comment could not have been written by say Richard Witty, who takes more care with his attempts to equivocate, but it could easily have come from SOG. Not very encouraging to see Israeli leadership at this level of discourse, but not surprising either.

We stand behind sentiments like these and the mentality it reveals, a relentless amalgam of ubermensch and eternal victim. Unless we manage to extract ourselves from this sponsorship, it will kill us.

Israel is NO lady.

I watched Meridor on Rachel Maddow, I think, for awhile yesterday, then had to turn it off. He is not an effective spokesman. One gets tired of all the dancing around the truth.

"You can't polish turds all your life and not smell like shit."

:)

OT: Here's a video of the London demonstration that was held Sunday. Notice the huge police presence.

Remembering How Gaza Got Like This (+)

by: Daniel De Groot - Tue Dec 30, 2008 at 09:00

Those debating how much condemnation to allocate to Israel or the Palestinians need to save a bunch for the current crew in the Bush Administration. It's a good time to dig up a piece from Vanity Fair in April of this year, which goes into great detail about how Hamas came to power in Gaza almost entirely because of Bush Administration bungling. I re-present, David Rose and The Gaza Bombshell:

Vanity Fair has obtained confidential documents, since corroborated by sources in the U.S. and Palestine, which lay bare a covert initiative, approved by Bush and implemented by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Deputy National Security Adviser Elliott Abrams, to provoke a Palestinian civil war. The plan was for forces led by Dahlan, and armed with new weapons supplied at America's behest, to give Fatah the muscle it needed to remove the democratically elected Hamas-led government from power. (The State Department declined to comment.)
But the secret plan backfired, resulting in a further setback for American foreign policy under Bush. Instead of driving its enemies out of power, the U.S.-backed Fatah fighters inadvertently provoked Hamas to seize total control of Gaza.

Yes, that Elliott Abrhams, the Iran-Contra one. Neoconservatives really do never ever learn from their mistakes and manage to be always wrong about everything. It's their superpower...........

Apart from these demonstrations there were written protests by a number of British parliamentarians:

"Growing horror at the bloodletting in Gaza

The Guardian, Wednesday 31 December 2008

Israel's continuing massive military strikes on Gaza are an outrage that the international community must not allow to continue (Reports, 30 December). Palestinian rocket attacks that traumatise the lives of communities in southern Israel are also utterly unacceptable. Both sides must cease fire. Israel's actions are disproportionate and counterproductive to achieving either security for the people of Israel or peace in the Middle East. Physicians for Human Rights (Israel) have warned that "targeting of civilians and of medical facilities is a breach of international humanitarian law. The targets chosen by the Israeli military include also clearly civilian installations."

Gaza is one of the poorest and most densely populated places on Earth. For the past two years, the blockade and previous Israeli strikes had already disrupted electricity supplies and access to clean water. Even before the current attack, Gaza's health system was near collapse. Hospitals are short of medicines, blood and essential equipment. Only half of Gaza's 58 ambulances are functioning.

We call on the international community, and especially the high contracting parties to the Fourth Geneva convention, to intervene to stop the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza. We call for an immediate ceasefire by all parties and for an embargo on the supply of military equipment to both sides. The international community must also assert unambiguously that there is no military route to peace in the Middle East and redouble its efforts to create a secure and independent state of Palestine alongside a secure and independent Israel.

We write to express our disgust, condemnation and concern at the attacks by Israel on the Gaza Strip killing over 350 people - including women and children. There is little doubt civilian deaths will continue to rise as Israel shows no signs of stopping its offensive on the people of Gaza. The situation is bleak, with hospitals running out of medical supplies as the Israeli blockade continues to suffocate the people of Gaza. The region's power and infrastructure networks are on the verge of collapse with more than 85% of Gazans depending on UN food aid - which is at critically low levels.

We call on the Scottish and UK governments to do all they can to pressure the Israeli government to halt attacks on the Gazan people who are being collectively punished for the actions of a minority. While we believe that Israel has the right to defend itself and its civilians from rocket attacks, it cannot be allowed to collectively punish, maim and kill innocent Palestinian civilians in the process. When the assault first began, Israeli defence minister Ehud Barak said the action would not be short and would become increasingly intense. We believe that a strong statement of condemnation of Israel's actions must be forthcoming from world leaders and political institutions before the air attacks escalate and ground troops sent into Gaza.

We urge our leaders to do all they can to halt the killing of innocent lives and send a strong message of condemnation to the Israelis for their current attacks.

Not like the Hamas leradership or Hezbollah preachers in the mosques. Now there is a bunch of likable guys. But then again it does fit into Condells program. You know, kill the Jews whereever they are,

Israeli Military Declares Online Media ‘Another War Zone’

Journalists Kept Carefully Away From Gaza as Israel Tries to Restrict Coverage

compiled by Jason Ditz @ antiwar.com - Posted December 30, 2008

Across the world, mainstream journalists are expressing increasing disquiet at the way the Israeli government is trying to manage international coverage of its war on the Gaza Strip. Journalists have been barred not just from the strip itself, but the government is now prohibiting journalists from going to parts of Israel near the Gaza Strip.......

......As the media struggles to get up-to-date information, television news coverage is narrow, and often relies on interviews with Israeli government officials explaining why the killings are righteous and legitimate expressions of democracy and freedom, more and more people are turning to online news sites (like Antiwar.com) for their war coverage.

The Israeli military has therefore announced that online media and the blogosphere are another warzone for the military to manage.....

....In ensuring that the only footage of their military operation is provided directly from them, the Israeli military is another step closer to completely managing public perception of the ongoing attacks.....

Speaking of polishing turds, the exchange between Brzezinski and Scarborough is an instant classic in the Awkward Moments in Corporate Zionist Media genre.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/12/30/zbigniew-brzezinski-calls_n_154211.html

Scarborough trots out the ConveZional Wisdom (or Zidea) that 'Arafat walked away from a generous offer', and Brzezinski says, "you have such a stunningly superficial knowledge of what went on that it's almost embarrassing to listen to you," and proceeds to educate Florida's most well-known former congressman on the particulars that all good Mondoweiss readers already have consumed, digested, and defecated (albiet most graciously) in other fora.

(Wait did I call Scarborough Florida's most famous former congressman? Sorry I had forgotten him.)

Brzez (his real friends call him that) is on MSNBC where Imminent-Holocaust-Denial is prohibited, and so he uses the mandated phrase, "Hamas rockets," as it is so utterly essential to the storyline of Israel's Gaza Christmas 2008 Lead and Fire Extravaganza.

But he includes information--oh, the sly and impervious Dr. B!--that it is actually "more radical groups" that fire the rockets (he doesn't elaborate, probably for fear of exceeding MSNBC's pertinent information-to-noise cap), and they rarely if ever hit any humans or even do much damage. In other words, it's kiddie stuff.

Meanwhile Israel is "considering" how much more blood it wants on its hand. Maybe the killing should cease--for 48 hours or so.

Whether they invade or not, one thing is certain. Gaza has now become a symbol of the indomitable will of humans to avoid extermination.

Zionist propagandists, man your stations!!!

To know what one is up against one should not just look at the barely literate paranoiac cries by the Sword and his ilk. Read the latest article by Jonathan Mark in the Jewish World Review. One wonders whether such guys are for real. I was particularly struck by his claim that Israel has sent cocoa and butter into Gaza ? Where do you find a nation that responds to rockets in this way etc.?

It would be an interesting exercise to find similar claims about German largesse towards the Warsaw ghetto.

Re: another "Kill the Jews wherever they are" oozing out of Gideon's Sore--

Actually I believe the specific Hamas dictate is "Kill the Jews living in our old villages they destroyed."

Without gasoline, running water, or bread, much less a fleet of F-16s, Hamas would have a tough time pulling off a big-time Israel-caliber massacre of innocents all the way over in New York, or Palm Beach.

Polishing turds are unproductive so they're rolling them in glitter instead.
~

Sorry, Mark spoke about cocoa and jam. Here is the relevant sentence:

"A proportionate response would so intimidate Hamas that they will grovel and, as a "gesture," send cocoa and jam into Sderot, the way Israel has groveled in response to rockets from Hamas, sending cocoa and jam into Gaza."

Here's article seven of the hamas charter. But it does fit in to how "charming" it is to Phil Weiss. Shooting Jews.

BTW , Brezinski and that other Polack cunt Eva haven't yet assimilated the fact that it's not Jedwebne and Kielce anymore

rticle Seven: The Universality of Hamas
By virtue of the distribution of Muslims, who pursue the cause of the Hamas, all over the globe, and strive for its victory, for the reinforcement of its positions and for the encouragement of its Jihad, the Movement is a universal one. It is apt to be that due to the clarity of its thinking, the nobility of its purpose and the loftiness of its objectives. It is in this light that the Movement has to be regarded, evaluated and acknowledged. Whoever denigrates its worth, or avoids supporting it, or is so blind as to dismiss its role, is challenging Fate itself. Whoever closes his eyes from seeing the facts, whether intentionally or not, will wake up to find himself overtaken by events, and will find no excuses to justify his position. Priority is reserved to the early comers. Oppressing those who are closest to you, is more of an agony to the soul than the impact of an Indian sword. “And unto thee have we revealed the Scripture with the truth, confirming whatever scripture was before it, and a watcher over it. So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires away from the truth which has come unto thee. For each we have appointed a divine law and a traced-out way. Had Allah willed, He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which he has given you [He has made you as you are]. So vie with one another in good works. Unto Allah, you will all return. He will then inform you of that wherein you differ.” Hamas is one of the links in the Chain of Jihad in the confrontation with the Zionist invasion. It links up with the setting out of the Martyr Izz a-din al-Qassam and his brothers in the Muslim Brotherhood who fought the Holy War in 1936; it further relates to another link of the Palestinian Jihad and the Jihad and efforts of the Muslim Brothers during the 1948 War, and to the Jihad operations of the Muslim Brothers in 1968 and thereafter. But even if the links have become distant from each other, and even if the obstacles erected by those who revolve in the Zionist orbit, aiming at obstructing the road before the Jihad fighters, have rendered the pursuance of Jihad impossible; nevertheless, the Hamas has been looking forward to implement Allah’s promise whatever time it might take. The prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him! This will not apply to the Gharqad, which is a Jewish tree (cited by Bukhari and Muslim).

So where's the part about killing all the Jews?

Shut the fuck up SoG.

This stupid douche has to play the antisemitism card in every situation.

Like they say in the mosque LD. If the kaffiyeh/swastika fits......

I'm Irish Catholic you fucking loser. That's the thing about Palestinian activism, it attracts people of all religions and backgrounds who care about human rights and justice.

Anyways, you're a douchebag. Keep trolling.

Then you should be well versed in supporting terrorists my mick friend. BTW How do you people manage to drink so much. Is it practice or genetics.

The Qur'an also calls repeatedly upon the Jews to reform their bastardised religion and return it to its pure form, as given to Abraham by Elohim, and as (we may assume) reinforced by Moses. It is only necessary to discard the false JHVH cult interpolated by Ezra. If you have the intelligence to do this, then by the grace of God, it will not be necessary to hunt you out from behind trees and rocks, because you will have recovered the great gift that God originally gave to you. You are not required to 'convert' to anything. Only renounce JHVH, and return to your God, Elohim.

They don't drink so much, that's the problem! They've got no fucking tolerance.

The Jew drug in lieu of booze n beer: prescription drugs
abuse. SOG knows this well.
