Brzezinski Explains Why He (and Gazillions of Others) Are for Obama
Scott McConnell, editor of the American Conserative, saw Obama at a Pennsylvania rally, and was charmed:
“Wall Street is teetering on the brink of nobody knows what,” [Obama] told the crowd, a more felicitous line than the standard political pose of make-believe mastery.
The latest American Conservative has a piece I did on Zbigniew Brzezinski. Not on-line yet, go buy it. My favorite part is when I emailed Brzezinski to ask why he was for Obama, which I'd stupidly failed to ask him in the rush of a short interview, and his secretary called and read me the following:
“In my judgment the United States confronts, and the world, a fundamental historical discontinuity. The world of the cold war or earlier, the world of the struggle against the totalitarianism of the Nazi/Stalinist variety, is finished. We live in a complicated, much more dynamic, much more politically awakened world, in which the population of the world for the first time is politically active, stirring, restless, increasingly anti-western, increasingly anti-American. And to manage that world well one has to understand how history has changed, how the global context has changed. Hillary Clinton would be a perfectly competent president, but her view of the world in my judgment is quite conventional and traditional. That criticism is even more applicable to John McCain, who is in my view is a great patriot and a great hero but represents essentially the past. I have been impressed talking with Barack Obama and also from reading what he has been saying by the fact that he understands that this great historical discontinuity has taken place and that America has to redefine its place in the world. In fact, that America has to redefine itself. And I think that he symbolizes that needed change, and if he becomes president he can help America effectively make that change.”
I've often wondered on this blog why people are for Obama. I know why I'm for him, but why are all these kids for him, his army? Zbig Brzezinski is 80 years old, but he has articulated a sense of history, and of history's hinge, and of the misunderstanding that labels this new era "a clash of civilizations," that I believe Obama's army understands in their young bones. As they say in New York: Genius.
I know that people here look at peanut Jimmy with awe. particularly since he threw in with Hamas. But most Americans don't look back at 1976-80 with great fondness. And Brezinski was an integral part of that. So other than than some elderly villagers in Jedwebne I don't see him moving a lot of hearts and minds

I'm for Obama for two reasons:
1. One is that is open to reviewing past assumptions and methods of approach. I am far more interested in domestic issues than foreign policy, so Brzinski's comments are relevant to me but not primary.
2. The second is that the range of assumptions and methods that Obama is likely to consider include a recognition of the lives of working people, a high bar for policy excellence, a prominent role of community in governance, a reluctance to use force to accomplish ends (but a willingness when it is necessary).

I look at Carter's energy efforts as before its time (actually right on time), and now we desparately have to CATCH UP.

Mickey Kantor, Clinton Advisor: Indianans "Shit", "Worthless White N*rs"

Thank you for linking to the video of another Jewish bigot, Mickey Kantor, anonymous. It’s quite shocking, even though everyone always knew what the Clinton admin thought of flyover country: Kantor, Carville and Stephanopoulos, high-fiving like a claque of frat boys, laughing about the “white ni**ers” of Indiana. Then we’ve got Obama ridiculing the same demographic as clinging to guns and religion. This is why left-liberals are totally unfit to govern; like their Bolshevik precursors, they literally hate probably 60 - 70 percent of the people that they are seeking to “lead.” Then on the Right there’s McCain, also surrounded by a claque of Jewish bigots. With Red-fascists in charge, no wonder this country is such a mess. I think they all actually enjoy seeing average Americans suffer. They see it as payback for…what? Who knows. They’re nuts.

Ed,
surely the payback is plain:
the 1924 Immigration Act which limited Jewish immigration. Can you imagine how much stronger the grasp the Jews would have on America if that Act had not been passed?
Cantor's candor explains in part the motivation for the trade deals that have hit the plain people of Indiana and Ohio so hard. Regions like Ohio gave us Robert Taft,a great old fashioned George Washington-style, non interventionist president. The free trade dels are oblitertaing that old base of support for the great evil of "isolationism" and "immigration restrictionists." Who knows when Witty's cousins are going to need to come here after the Zionists have to abandon Palestine. The principle of open borders has a multi fold purpose:
more Jews can come
reduce the coherence of the old Anglo Protestant core
reduce their sense of uniqueness....I mean anybody can be a US citizen

Does anyone know why the press is turning on Obama? The story is that he is not electable due to the Rezco, etc, scandal and the Republicans will make mincemeat of him. I don't buy this. The press was for him and now they are not. What's the deal?
Posted by: peters | May 02, 2008 at 09:38 AM
They see it as payback for…what?
That's a nuance worth repeating, Ed.
Each one of them constantly exhibits a different blend\style of contempt. Bush is good at that too.

"surely the payback is plain: the 1924 Immigration Act which limited Jewish immigration."
No doubt that's part of the motive for their hatred. But I think it goes way beyond that. Read this paragraph from Takimag from an article about what motivates the Neocons:
"For them, the Holocaust is the Evil Western World’s apotheosis, the culmination of the crusades, witch burnings, slavery, pogroms, mistreatment of indigenous peoples, etc. Of course, we all agree that this evil event should not happen to this group again. But much more is required."
http://www.takimag.com/blogs/article/never_again_nation/
I think they actually have projected the blame for the Holocaust onto Americans and the entire West (even though hundreds of thousands of Americans died putting an end to the Nazis). And they want to use big government to punish average Americans the same way the Jewish Bolsheviks used big government to kill millions of average Russians...and this was BEFORE the Holocaust.
Clearly Jewish ideologues possess a deep racial hatred for nearly all gentiles, and white gentiles in particular. This is a judgment not only on them, but on their cynical gentile collaborators who have internalized Jewish elitism and bigotry. It’s important for Americans to know that this elitist axis HATES Western civilization and HATES average gentile Americans...considers them "white ni**ers," as Cantor put it while yucking it up with Carville and Stephanopoulos, and probably wants to enslave them, or at least put them under the yoke.
Once Americans understand that simple fact, much of what the DC governing class has done to destroy America and enslave it in debt while enriching itself makes perfect sense.

Yes, and how is this accomplished? You can have your pick of
the three picked by Wall Street donations. Throw in the Federal Reserve.
Wall Street, known variously as a barren wasteland for diversity or the last plantation in America, has defied courts and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for decades in its failure to hire blacks as stockbrokers. Now it's marshalling its money machine to elect a black man to the highest office in the land. Why isn't the press curious about this?

He's like darth vader, a young jedi tuned into the ways of the force turned to the dark side.
Obama's chief advisor is Zbigniew Brezinkski.
Brezinksi boasted that he was responsible for creating the Afghani Jihadi movement as a resistance force against the Soviets. Obama is not a Democrat. He's another puppet.
Essentially, everyone in the presidential race right now is all on the same team. No matter who wins, we average Americans lose.

In re above: Obama did not slander the working class. He simply stated the obvious.

Jim S, I respectfully do not quite agree with you.
Obama, trying to explain to a SF elite the economic frustration of the white working class in PA, catered to the usual Hollywood version of the SOP bigots.
He's no Proust.
He first admitted that the average PA working family were really hard pressed. Next, at best he tried to tell that group of people
help was on the way. But, as usual with Obama, much can be seen in the laborious linkeage of his words, which itself reveals the gaps in his analysis. So, it was hard for Obama.
He did a Saturday night sit-com for his special SF audience.
It revealed as much as it concealed.
Obama thinks he knows who the real niggers are. Or, at least
he knew his immediate audience.

"Jewish voters are a crucial voting bloc in several vital states.... A critical part of the McCain campaign's strategy is to have surrogates like Joe Lieberman run around telling them that they should vote for McCain because he will better serve their devotion to Israel, while Obama is hostile to Israel and even to Jews themselves. It is a supremely ugly strategy, based on all sorts of myths and falsehoods. But most of all, the McCain Argument rests on exactly the premise that, when espoused by others, is forbidden: namely, that the political views of American Jews are determined by their dual loyalty, i.e., by their considerations of what is best for a country other than their own."

"Ed, we don't hate gentiles, just you, only you>"
SoG, when you say "we", who are you trying to speak for? If you're speaking on behalf of Judeofascism, then how can you say you don't hate gentiles when you murdered millions of them in the Soviet Union merely because they weren't Jewish? Isn't it true that you Judeofascists, just like Judeofascist Mickey Kantor thinks of average whites from Indiana, considered Russian Christians and peasants to be "white ni**ers"? Isn't that why you used the State to kill them? Don't you want to do the same to average Americans as well as Muslims in the Mideast? Isn't that what the Iraq war is all about...killing off stupid goyim, both American and Islamic, on behalf of Judeofascism?
Posted by: Ed | May 02, 2008 at 01:28 PM
First Ed, you really need a heavy dose of valium. Second, how do you figure that we murdered millions of Russian Christians, Lenin wasn't Jewish neither was Stalin. Trotsky may have been born Jewish but so was Phil Weiss. It meant nothing to either of them. Second, if we're so good at knocking off Moslems how come their population keeps going up like rats. Lastly, I used to go through Indiana all the time. It's a fine state. fine poeple, doesn't bother me in the least. You should worry a little more about the Mexicans coming over in a tidal wave, the chinks, and the camel jockeys who are flooding in here,

Why not go to the core of the problem and blow up Wall Street?
Oh, err, yeah...that's already been tried...

"Now it's marshalling its money machine to elect a black man to the highest office in the land."
Stop it! Stop it right now, Charles!
My Barack fantasizing wants to think it's all small donations that Barack's getting. It must be all the little people, coalescing to lift up their savior and carry him into the promised land!
And the youth--surely all those 17 and 18 year old kids don't all work on, or take any of their cues from, Wall Street. They don't even know where the fuck Wall Street is. (Ditto for those musicians and celebrities putting the gospel of Barack to song.)
Barack is just like a populist, except that he went to Harvard Law, he's well-funded by elite sources, and he's an on-again off-again media darling.
He's also just like a real African-American, except none of his ancestors experienced chattel slavery or segregation.
Like any community of true believers, the Obama faithful do not want to have their legend's bubble burst. Go away, Charles, you old curmudgeon! Let us have our spirituo-political populist rock star! Yes we can! Yes we can!

Seems to me that the black Jesus is having his problems lately. He loses Indiana and North Carolina doesn't come in has a big win then who knows. Any chance that you guys would be so disgusted and leave the country. Iran or Zimbabwe by any chance. Countries that are ever so much superior than the US or Israel.
Posted by: the Sword of Gideon | May 03, 2008 at 05:43 AM
SOG, quit talking about America. With your loyalty to Israel, I don't even consider you to be an American.
I seriously doubt that my ancestors fought in every major war since the Revolution to have someone like you define the nation for the rest of us.
Posted by: Todd | May 03, 2008 at 10:58 AM
Todd, I agree. SOG is clearly not an American. I don't care if he was born here. Phil is an American, just to illustrate the distinction.
